A new app for parents of bus-eligible students is coming soon! The FREE Stopfinder app allows parents/guardians/daycare providers to see pick-up and drop-off times, the location of the bus, and other features in a secure app. More information will be coming soon, including an invitation to set up your child's account in Stopfinder. If you are the primary household of a bus-eligible student, please check your email for more information.

Keep your students fueled to learn! SFSD is no longer able to offer free meals to all students. Now is a great time to add money to their My School Bucks account. Or, for families with qualifying income, it is important to fill out the Free/Reduced Meal application!
Log on to the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to apply! If you have questions or need help filling out the application please call 605-367-6180. We are happy to help!

Students/Families who need assistance with purchasing the necessary school supplies for a successful school year may consider attending Project SOS. The first day of classes for SFSD is Thursday, August 25, 2022.

While we tossed a shout out to Dawn Valer our school nurse last week on Nurse’s Day, today is actually NATIONAL SCHOOL NURSE DAY!
Pettigrew is so thankful to have Nurse Dawn taking care of our Panther students!
Her compassion, optimism, and kindness do not go unnoticed. Thanks to Nurse Dawn for all she does to help around the entire building!

This has been a wonderful week of Staff Appreciation and taking time out to acknowledge the WONDERFUL STAFF we have at Pettigrew. Thank you to each and every one of you that took an opportunity make this week special to our staff.
Pettigrew shout out to our lead clerical Kris Haines on her retirement from the district after this school year.
Kris has been our guiding force at Pettigrew since the doors opened in 2009.
We wish her well in her retirement endeavors as she plans to travel to spend time with family, read, enjoy the birds in her backyard and especially spending extra time with her grandkids.
We have been very lucky to have her as our lead clerical here at Pettigrew and we hope to see her occasionally as she plans to be a clerical sub in the district!
Pettigrew students LOVE our LUNCH HERO'S. They make our lunch time run so smoothly and keep tables clean and tidy for the next group of students coming to eat!
