Pettigrew is very excited to once again be partnering with the RHS Pathways program! About 20 RHS students come to Pettigrew once a week to shadow in classrooms and help mentor our elementary students.
Pathways students have an interest in working with children in a teaching role in their future and this partnership is a great way for them to experience what teaching is like before they head off to college!

Mr. O'Donnell and his 503 classroom were able to watch the life cycle of a some monarch caterpillars all the way through the chrysalis stage, and finally into an adult butterfly!
They took a little walk out to the Pettigrew Butterfly Garden last week to release them into the wild!

Our kindergarten students have been learning lunchroom skills! They give a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down" for the offer vrs. method in our lunch serving line. Our teachers and lunch staff work with our young students everyday to learn this skill.
